Madisyn decided about a year ago that she would love to grow her hair out and donate it to Locks of Love. Those of you who have seen Madisyn's hair, you know that she has plenty of it. We have spent lots of money on conditoners and time combing out the knots. Not to mention all the tears too!
So it was time!
Because her hair is so thick, they had to cut it into 2 pony tails!
She is smiling in this picture above but I have to tell you after this picture it just went down hill from here. She started to cry...sobing. She didn't like her hair that short. She was so sad. The ladies in the salon caught wind of her crying and let me tell you... they were sooooo sad for her. Her uncontrolable cry pulled at heart strings. Kim, our hair dresser was trying to console her by telling her what a wonderful thing she was doing. The poor girl that was cutting her hair was so nervous, her hand was shaking. (excuse the picture being the wrong way...still haven't figured out why it downloads like this... still making me crazy!)
So you can tell by her face how much crying was involved that day. We got home and played with it a little and she felt better about it. I get it... over a year with long hair, it is a shock!
Today, she loves it! She loves, that there isn't any knots and it is super cute!!
Good Job Madisyn!!!
The locks have been mailed!! They will make some little girl SOO HAPPY!!
